Lightweight Varroa Treatment on the Move: OZ Armour InstantVap Lite 18V

The OZ Armour InstantVap Lite 18V is a cordless oxalic acid vaporizer designed for beekeepers who want a portable tool for incorporating oxalic acid vaporisation into their Varroa management routine. Its compact cordless format allows you to move from hive to hive without being tied to a mains power source.

Available from OZ Armour, the InstantVap Lite 18V can be configured with a range of common 18V battery socket types, making it easier to match the vaporizer with a compatible battery platform already used around the apiary.

Cordless Design for Flexible Apiary Work

The 18V cordless configuration is particularly useful when working across multiple hives or in locations where mains power is not readily available. A compatible battery can be attached directly to the selected socket, allowing the vaporizer to be carried around the apiary during treatment work.

The available socket choices include DeWalt, Parkside, Einhell/Ozito, Metabo, Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch GBA/PROCORE, AEG/Ridgid, LUX, Hikoki/Hitachi, Black+Decker, Ferrex and Bosch PBA/POWER4ALL.

Choose the Battery Platform You Already Use

One of the main advantages of the InstantVap Lite 18V is the range of battery-interface options. This allows beekeepers to select a socket compatible with their existing cordless-tool system rather than being locked into one battery brand.

For Ryobi batteries, the current product instructions specify selecting the DeWalt option and purchasing the separate DeWalt-to-Ryobi adapter.

Compact Tool for Oxalic Acid Vaporisation

The InstantVap Lite 18V is purpose-built for oxalic acid vaporisation and provides a dedicated heating chamber and applicator assembly for hive treatment work. Its stainless-steel construction and compact form make it suitable for carrying between colonies as part of a broader Varroa management program.

As with any equipment used for oxalic acid application, the vaporizer should only be used with an appropriate product and according to the applicable label, permit and safety directions.

Love this suit! This is my second one

Love this suit! This is my second one. The first one I cut with my hive tool. Duct tape can only do so much to keep the bees out. This suit wears well. It allows air to flow to keep me as cool as possible in the hot days. Yet it’s protective. It washes well and holds its shape. It’s the best!

I love this suit. It looks AMAZING. When I took it out of the box it felt HEAVY and I was worried that I would die in it. But it seems to be made of unicorn hair or something magical because it was so hot outside and I was almost...cool? This suit is incredible.

I absolutely love my Oz Armour bee suit. After having a few too many close encounters with some very feisty bees, I decided I was done messing around and wanted something I could actually trust.

This suit has been worth every penny. I’ve worn it while working hives that were actively coming at me, moving boxes, feeding, and doing inspections, and I feel so much more confident in it. The material feels incredibly protective without making it impossible to move around, the fit is great, and I love the visibility through the veil.

If you keep bees, especially bees with a little bit of an attitude, I highly recommend Oz Armour. 😂 I wish I had bought mine sooner.

Best suit ever!

They thought of everything when they made these suits. I purchased the jacket and pants separately. The first thing I noticed was how the hood zips onto the jacket. The zippers overlap. This ensures that there is no Gap between the zipper jacket and the hood. I've had other suits where bees got in that space and it was not a good day. And speaking of zippers, they are super easy to use. And they even put a little ribbon on the end of each zipper so you can grab a hold of it with your gloves on. The pants have zippers that go all the way up the sides of the legs so you can easily get them on and off over big boots. Plenty of pockets everywhere. And velcro around the ankles and the wrist so you can be sure to get a tight fit. They thought of everything. Highly recommend.
