Description

OZ Armour 3-Layer Mesh Ventilated Beekeeping Jacket with Fencing Veil

Stay cooler while working around your hives with the OZ Armour 3-Layer Mesh Ventilated Beekeeping Jacket with Fencing Veil. Designed for beekeepers who want upper-body protection without wearing a full suit, this jacket combines breathable mesh, secure closures and a structured veil for regular apiary work.

It is suitable for hive inspections, feeding, swarm checks, honey harvesting and other jobs where freedom of movement and ventilation matter. The white finish keeps the design practical and familiar, while the full mesh construction allows air to pass through the jacket during warm Australian conditions.

Three-Layer Mesh for Airflow and Protection

The jacket uses three separate layers rather than a single thin mesh. The outer and inner layers are made from poly-cotton mesh, with an EVA foam mesh layer positioned between them. Together, the layers create approximately 4 mm of spacing between the outer surface and the wearer’s skin.

This spacing helps reduce the chance of a bee’s stinger reaching the skin while still allowing air to move through the material. The mesh extends across the front, back and sleeves, giving the jacket consistent ventilation rather than limiting airflow to a few small panels.

No protective garment can guarantee that every sting will be prevented. Always select the correct size, close each fastening properly and inspect the jacket and veil before working with active colonies.

Structured Fencing Veil

The detachable fencing veil provides clear forward visibility and comfortable space around the face. Its built-in support helps keep the mesh away from the nose, skin and glasses, reducing the chance of the veil resting against your face while you bend or move.

The veil opens at the front, allowing you to adjust your glasses or access your face without completely removing the hood. Overlapping zipper sections around the neck help cover a common entry point for bees.

Secure and Comfortable Fit

Elasticated cuffs help keep the sleeves in position around the wrists, while the gathered waistband sits securely over your clothing. These closures help reduce open gaps as you reach, lift frames or lean over a hive.

A protective flap covers the main front zipper for added security. The jacket uses a smooth YKK nylon zipper, chosen for reliable operation and lasting performance during regular use. Reinforced twill-tape stitching adds strength around key seams and helps the jacket withstand repeated movement in the apiary.

Practical Front Storage

Multiple front pockets provide convenient space for small items used during an inspection. Solid fabric sections reinforce the pockets and other key areas without blocking airflow across the entire jacket.
