Three-Layer Mesh with Protective Spacing

This jacket is built from three separate mesh layers. Poly-cotton mesh is used on the outside and inside, with a structured EVA foam mesh layer between them. Together, the layers provide approximately 4 mm of thickness.

The middle layer creates space between the jacket’s outer surface and your skin. This helps reduce the likelihood of a bee’s stinger reaching through the material while still allowing air to pass through the jacket.

Ventilated mesh covers most of the torso, shoulders and sleeves rather than being limited to a few small panels. This allows air to move across more of the upper body during longer hive inspections.

No protective jacket can guarantee that every sting will be prevented. Choose the correct size, close every fastening and inspect the mesh and veil before approaching active colonies.

Round Hat Veil for Wider Visibility

The detachable round hat veil provides visibility around the front and sides of the head. Its wide, structured brim helps keep the black veil mesh away from your face, nose and glasses while you bend over boxes or turn to monitor activity around the hive.

The veil connects securely around the neckline. Overlapping zipper sections help cover the joining point between the hood and jacket, reducing exposed gaps when everything is properly closed.

Because the veil is detachable, it can be removed when the jacket needs cleaning or storage.

Secure YKK Front Zipper

A YKK nylon zipper runs down the front of the jacket. Nylon zippers provide smooth operation and are less prone to corrosion than many traditional metal alternatives.
