The OZ Armour APIS Small Hive Beetle Trap is designed to help beekeepers manage small hive beetles inside the hive while keeping bees out of the trap. The trap uses precisely sized 2 mm slots, allowing small hive beetles to enter while preventing honey bees from accessing the treatment area.
Designed to work with Small Hive Beetle Topbait Plus, the APIS trap provides a dedicated space for bait while helping prevent it from leaching into the hive. It is available in versions with or without a sticky board, as well as an option supplied with a 35 g Top-Bait syringe.

2 mm Slots Keep Bees Out
The trap features 2 mm openings that allow small hive beetles to enter while excluding honey bees. This precise slot sizing is a key part of the trap's design and helps keep the bait contained within the dedicated trapping area.
Because bees may propolise the trap openings over time, the product information recommends inspecting the lid and cleaning the slots with a hive tool approximately every 7 days to maintain access.
