Electric Wire Embedder for Faster Frame Preparation
The OZ Armour Electric Wire Embedder With Wooden Embedding Board & Optional Battery Charger is designed to make embedding wire into beeswax foundation faster, easier and more consistent. It uses a low-voltage electrical current to gently heat the frame wire so it can sink into the wax foundation, creating a secure bond.
The embedder comes with a full-depth wooden embedding board, while an Ideal-size board is available as an optional addition. Explore OZ Armour for beekeeping equipment, protective clothing, hive hardware, tools and other essentials for your apiary.
Quick and Precise Wire Embedding
The electric system heats the frame wire just enough to soften the surrounding beeswax. As the wire warms, it sinks neatly into the foundation, helping create a secure connection between the wire and wax.
This can save time when preparing multiple wired frames and provides a more consistent result than manually pressing each wire into the foundation.
12V Power for Flexible Use
The Electric Wire Embedder operates using a 12V DC power supply. It can be powered through the optional charger or directly from a compatible car battery, giving beekeepers flexibility when working in a workshop, shed or apiary.
The ability to use a car battery also makes the embedder practical when mains power is not conveniently available.
Full-Depth Wooden Embedding Board
A full-depth wooden embedding board is included with the embedder. The board measures 42 cm × 20 cm × 2 cm and provides a stable surface for positioning the frame and wax foundation during the embedding process.
An additional wooden board for Ideal-size frames can be selected as an option.

Consistent Results Across Multiple Frames
Electric wire embedding helps speed up frame preparation while making it easier to achieve consistent wire placement. The heated wire can sink into the wax in seconds when used correctly, allowing you to move efficiently from one frame to the next.
This makes the embedder particularly useful when assembling new frames or replacing foundation on existing wired frames.
Lightweight and Easy to Handle
The embedder has a lightweight, ergonomic design intended to make operation comfortable and straightforward. Its compact format also makes it easy to keep alongside your frame wiring bench, frame wire, eyelets and wire tensioner.
Keeping these tools together can create a more efficient workflow when preparing frames for the hive.
Suitable for Hobby and Commercial Beekeepers
The Electric Wire Embedder is suitable for both novice and experienced beekeepers. Hobby beekeepers can use it when preparing occasional batches of frames, while commercial operations can benefit from faster and more consistent foundation installation.
Its flexible power options also make it useful for both workshop-based and portable frame preparation.
