OZ ARMOUR khaki round hat veil for sunny apiaries
A tired veil is one of the most common reasons beekeepers start thinking about replacing their whole suit. In most cases the jacket is fine, and only the veil has worn out from smoke, sun and sticky propolis.
Our khaki round hat veil is sold by itself, without a suit or jacket, and zips straight onto OZ ARMOUR gear. Choose it if you like the traditional round brim look, or keep one aside so a torn veil never ends an inspection early.
Traditional brim, dependable protection
The wide brim keeps the mesh well away from your head and shoulders, so it never makes contact with your skin. With no contact point, a bee sitting on the mesh can't sting you.
Cooler under the Australian sun
The brim works like a sun hat, keeping light off your face and eyes, while breathable mesh lets air move around your head. The hat crown is part of the veil, so you won't need a cap underneath.
Panoramic view of the hive
Mesh surrounds the full brim for a 360° outlook. Glance at the entrance, follow a returning forager or scan the next hive without twisting around.
