The OZ Armour Poly Cotton Beekeeping Jacket with Fencing Veil is designed for beekeepers who want durable upper-body coverage with practical ventilation for everyday hive work. Its heavy-duty poly-cotton construction is combined with triple-layer mesh to encourage airflow while maintaining a physical barrier between the wearer and bees.

Designed by OZ Armour, this jacket is a practical option for Australian beekeepers who prefer a separate top that can be paired with suitable trousers. It works well for backyard hive owners, hobbyists and experienced apiarists carrying out inspections, frame handling and routine colony management.

Heavy-Duty Fabric with Added Ventilation

The poly-cotton construction provides a balance of durability, comfort and flexibility for regular work around the apiary. Triple-layer mesh sections allow air to circulate around the upper body, helping make the jacket more comfortable during warmer conditions and extended hive inspections.

Reinforced twill-tape stitching and a high stitch-per-inch construction add strength to areas that experience repeated movement and wear. Reinforced pockets and knee areas provide additional durability when working around hive boxes and equipment.

Fencing Veil for Clear Visibility

The structured fencing veil is designed to maintain space between the viewing mesh and your face, including around the nose and glasses. The patented hood insert helps keep the veil deep and properly positioned while you work.

Strong metallic Italian mesh provides a clear viewing area when inspecting brood, checking frames or locating the queen. The fencing hood opens from the front, making it easier to adjust glasses, have a drink or communicate without removing the jacket.

The overlapping neck zipper and additional front zipper flap help cover the main openings between the jacket and hood.

I love this suit. It looks AMAZING. When I took it out of the box it felt HEAVY and I was worried that I would die in it. But it seems to be made of unicorn hair or something magical because it was so hot outside and I was almost...cool? This suit is incredible.

I absolutely love my Oz Armour bee suit. After having a few too many close encounters with some very feisty bees, I decided I was done messing around and wanted something I could actually trust.

This suit has been worth every penny. I’ve worn it while working hives that were actively coming at me, moving boxes, feeding, and doing inspections, and I feel so much more confident in it. The material feels incredibly protective without making it impossible to move around, the fit is great, and I love the visibility through the veil.

Best suit ever!

They thought of everything when they made these suits. I purchased the jacket and pants separately. The first thing I noticed was how the hood zips onto the jacket. The zippers overlap. This ensures that there is no Gap between the zipper jacket and the hood. I've had other suits where bees got in that space and it was not a good day. And speaking of zippers, they are super easy to use. And they even put a little ribbon on the end of each zipper so you can grab a hold of it with your gloves on. The pants have zippers that go all the way up the sides of the legs so you can easily get them on and off over big boots. Plenty of pockets everywhere. And velcro around the ankles and the wrist so you can be sure to get a tight fit. They thought of everything. Highly recommend.

Great pants

Great pants. Added to the jacket I already had. Feel secure in the apiaries. One suggestion - add a loop in the back to hang pants on a hook.

Oz armour suits are good, but...

Oz armour suits are excellent providing there is a slight breeze. They are however quite heavy, and I would suggest adding loops inside to allow braces on the larger sizes.

I have changed from a round to fencer veil after being stung on my face a couple of times. It might help if the hat on the round veil was available in a (much) larger size so it didn't just perch on the top of my head.
